Product description
- This all-in-one system protects you from particles and gases (depending on which filter you use)
- Nominal protection factor up to 500 (TH3) in combination with Speedglas welding helmets
- Can be connected directly to any respiratory welding helmet in the Speedglas range
- Gas filters are available separately (837242 and 837542)
- Install an odour filter (837110) to remove unpleasant odours. You do not need this filter if you are already using a gas filter
For effective protection from a range of particles and gases encountered during the welding process, use the 3M Adflo Motor-Powered Breathing System. The Adflo breathing system can be connected directly to any Speedglas series respiratory welding helmet and can protect users from both particles and gases, depending on the filter used.
Choose the 3M Adflo Powered Breathing System for effective protection against respiratory hazards during welding. Our Adflo respiratory system can be connected directly to any Speedglas series respiratory welding helmet and can provide users with protection from both particles and gases, depending on the filter used. Gas filters are available separately (837242 and 837542). It features a self-adjusting breathing hose with QRS coupling (Quick Release Swivel) for quick one-handed connection and disconnection. It is also equipped with an airflow indicator, pre-filter, spark arrestor, particle filter, heavy-duty Li-ion battery, belt and charger. An odour filter (837110) is available separately for use in environments with unpleasant odours. The standard battery fully charges in about 5.5 hours, depending on remaining capacity. The system has an expected operating time of 10 to 13 hours when used with a new particle filter, new fully charged battery and at a standard airflow rate. The airflow rate can be easily adjusted to the user's needs. The airflow is always a constant minimum nominal volume of 170 litres per minute, regardless of battery charge or particle charge of the filter. For optimal comfort in hotter and more humid working environments, increase the airflow rate to 200 litres per minute. The Li-ion battery makes the motor unit almost 20% lighter, for better balance and extra user comfort during operations. The heavy-duty battery is recommended when using the breathing mask with a gas filter. In some configurations, it is required to use the breathing hose in combination with a silencer (834009). Always check with your safety engineer if your configuration is approved or contact a certified occupational hygienist for more information.
